I had a phone call with a recruiter first to go over the job and see if I was still interested. Then I had to do a test for estimating. After passing that, I had to do a timed mock estimating exercise. Once that was done, I scheduled a Skype interview with another recruiter to go over the job again and confirm my interest. Then, I scheduled my final interview over Skype with the management team. They told me that if that went well, I would immediately interview with the Director. But when I finished with the manager and they said the talent team would reach out, I knew it was a no-go. Rejection is tough, and after all those steps, I don't think I'd do it again. The talent team was good though and kept me in the loop the whole time. For a new company, they have their interview process really dialed in from the candidate's side.

The interview was pretty chill, not gonna lie. The person interviewing me was super knowledgeable and made it easy, no stress. They let me ask questions at the end. They wanted to know about my estimating background and how I handle negotiations with body shops.

I was a business owner and GM before, handling inventory, estimating vehicle damages and mechanics for about 50+ cars daily. I was overqualified but wanted the remote job. Snapsheet emailed for a recruiter call, I said yes. The interview morning, they emailed that a different recruiter would interview me, I said yes. When they called, it was yet another person. They put the interviewer on speakerphone/conference, and I could barely hear due to static. I mentioned the hearing issue, but they were rude and ignored it. The interview felt like an interrogation with no personality, just question-response, nothing else. At the end, I asked about the job description, like if we controlled repair costs, they quickly said "No". No job details were discussed. Then I asked about benefits and 401k, and they said "I don't have that information, we usually discuss later". This felt like a badly run startup I didn't want to join. The interviewer seemed clueless about everything and the company. As a former business owner, their interview style was poor. I should have checked Glassdoor first for similar experiences.
