Customer Success Specialist
I applied through Glassdoor and heard back the very next day about setting up a phone interview. The phone interview was pretty straightforward. A few days later, I was invited for an in-person interview at their office. The email said to check in with the office assistant. When I arrived a bit early, no one was at the front, so I had to wait and then actually call the recruiter to let them know I was there. After some more waiting, the interviewer came out. She asked me the exact same questions from the phone call, which was odd. Then, I did two mock calls that seemed unrelated to the job – one about downloading an app and another selling a phone plan, which was strange since it's not a sales role but it was kinda fun. After that, I met with two managers who were very casual, barely spoke to me at first, and gave a basic overview of the job involving inbound and outbound calls. They didn't seem very engaged or interested in learning about me. The place also felt a bit cliquey and showed favoritism. I did get a tour of the office, which was nice. The whole experience wasn't great; I felt I didn't get a fair shot and am glad I didn't get an offer.

I didn't like the in-person interview. The second interviewer was odd, resting her elbows on the table with her chin in her hands, squinting and sounding rude. The first interviewer was nice but had a strange look on her face. She showed me the office, and I felt judged immediately. I didn't get an offer and think it's a high-turnover place. They missed out on a good candidate, probably judged me on looks. There was a phone interview the week before with a nice lady, and then I was invited for an in-person interview at their office.
- What prompted you to apply for this role?
Customer Success Specialist
It was a pretty long interview process, but it was worth it in the end. The whole thing took over 4 hours and was a one-on-one with about 4 different managers, directors, and the recruitment team. My interview actually covered two different positions in two separate departments. I'm not sure if this is standard, but they considered me for more than just the role I applied for.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations to provide outstanding customer service?
