Account Executive
The interview process was quick, and they asked some really good questions that made me think. It was a great experience. If you're interviewing here, make sure you do your research beforehand. SnackNation has this process well-organized, so be prepared and know what you're getting into.
- What does grit mean to you?
Account Executive
From the group interview, it seemed like they're looking for recent college grads with little to no experience who are eager to follow instructions and aren't looking for a lot of creative freedom. They seemed to be trying hard to create a 'frat house' vibe, aiming for a fun and awesome company culture, even though the interview itself wasn't fun at all, despite what their emails promised. The interview involved several questions where everyone had to answer with a time limit. The interviewer seemed more focused on writing down answers than making eye contact. This was a really strange interview. Also, there's a big difference between the advertised salary on Angel List ($72K-$106K) and what employees report on Glassdoor (around $35K), which is confusing and makes them seem unprofessional, disorganized, and discriminatory.
- What was your initial impression of me?
Account Executive
It was a super thorough process. We kicked off with a group interview, and honestly, I was kinda surprised at how many people weren't ready for it. Then, things moved fast over the next 7 days. I had a role-play over the phone with the VP of Sales, followed by an in-person interview with both a sales manager and the VP of Sales. The final step was an interview with the COO. It's a really intense process, always keeps you on your toes, which I guess they need to do to see the real you.
- What sales books have you been reading lately?
- Did you happen to read any of the articles by our VP of Sales or CEO?
