So the whole process starts with a quick HR screening over the phone, which is like 30 minutes. Then, you'll have a chat with HR and the hiring manager, that's about 45 minutes. After that, there's a tech interview that runs about 90 minutes. Finally, there's a final interview.

So, I had this interview process that was supposed to be 5 interviews total. But, like, one person didn't even show up (it was at 7am!), and another one got rescheduled super last minute. Plus, one of the interviewers had no clue what job they were even interviewing me for. There was also this super long take-home test. Then HR tried to reschedule that 7am no-show meeting and said I'd get an invite for the next morning. I didn't hear anything for like 3 days, and then just got a generic rejection email. After I told them how bummed I was about the whole process, they were like, 'Oh, actually we need someone with XYZ experience,' even though the job posting said that wasn't a requirement. This whole thing took 3 weeks and they totally weren't transparent like they said they would be.

Applied online and it was a waste of time. The interviews went on for too long, even over the holidays. I had a recruiter call, then a phone interview with the hiring manager, and then a video interview with an architect. The architect said the interview went well and I should expect to hear about an on-site interview, but I never did. I followed up with the recruiter. They said my salary request, which was actually lower than market rate, was 'too high.' This is something they should have brought up when we discussed salary in the first two interviews. Truth is, they use an offshore team and don't really want to hire or pay for an engineer locally.

The entire process took nearly two months, involving nine interviews and a project, but ultimately no offer was extended. They stated they couldn't meet my salary expectations, which are actually below market rate. Instead of discussing a compromise, they proceeded with more interviews and left me waiting for three additional weeks, even though this salary issue could have been raised earlier. It felt like a complete waste of time and was extremely unprofessional. I regret not taking the reviews more seriously.
