The process was pretty simple. It started with an HR interview, then interviews with a senior software engineer, a senior manager, and the department head. Overall, there were about 2 to 3 video interviews. They focused mainly on your past experience and your personality.

The process kicked off with a resume screening. Next up was an online test, which was more of an IQ & Logic test, including verbal, number, shapes, and space sections. After that, we moved to an assessment centre. This involved writing a short one-page essay and then participating in a group discussion. The topic for both was about choosing plans to implement within a budget constraint. The final stage was a panel interview, which was a many-to-many interview. It was relatively informal and the interviewers depended on the MA or EA programme.

There were three rounds in total: an Online Assessment, an Assessment Center, and a Panel Interview. The first round was pretty standard, much like online assessments from other companies. The Assessment Center involved technical questions related to rail engineering, a case study focused on SMRT, and a presentation where I had to propose improvements for SMRT. The final Panel Interview was conducted with two Engineering Managers and one Senior HR representative. They interviewed candidates in groups of two or three at a time.
