It started with a coding challenge that was maybe a bit harder than a LeetCode easy but not quite a medium. Then, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. After that, there was a 30-minute tech interview. The next step was a 'working interview' that lasted about a week or two, where I had to attend lectures and present projects. Finally, they made an offer.

Technical Behavioral Coding Presentation

I applied online and got a call from HR the very next day for an initial screening. After that, they sent over a coding challenge that took about 4-5 hours to complete. It involved SQL queries, Bash scripting, and Java problems (though I think you could choose your language). Then, I had an interview with Smothstacker. They asked me technical and behavioral questions, and I also had to present a project I'd recently worked on. The whole thing wrapped up in a week. The Smothstack team is really great; everyone I met was super helpful and nice. If you've got coding experience, just finished a Bootcamp, or have a CS degree, you can definitely get through this. Great people!

  • What are the basics of Java?
  • What about more advanced Java features?
