I had 1 phone interview with a recruiter, followed by 3 in-person interviews. Two were with upper-level management and one was with a current store manager. These in-person interviews were in different locations. The first three interviews seemed to go well, with the recruiter and managers showing genuine interest in hiring me. However, the final interview with the current store manager was off-putting. She questioned my skills and my motivation for wanting to work there, even comparing the team I'd manage to children, which I found unprofessional. It felt like she was trying to discourage me from taking the job. After going through these interviews across multiple locations over a month, not being offered the position was really agitating. I felt strung along for a role that wasn't even upper management, especially since I've had fewer interviews for higher-level positions. It's understandable to be selective, but leading someone on for a month without an offer is frustrating.

I had three interviews for this job. First was a phone interview with an advisor. Then, I had an in-office interview with the heads of operations, marketing, and catering. Finally, I had an interview over breakfast with the marketing manager. It took four weeks after the last interview to hear back, and during that time I checked in a few times, and they told me I was still being considered. Ultimately, they decided not to hire anyone for this position and instead hired someone for a catering and events specialist role. They did offer me a part-time role supporting events. It felt like things were changing a lot at HQ and they weren't sure what they wanted when they posted the job and interviewed people. I wouldn't have applied if I knew they were actually looking to hire for a different job.

The interview process was straightforward, consisting of just one interview. Following that, I received a call extending an offer, and then proceeded to training. The interviewer was pleasant and appeared to have the best interests of both the employer and the employee in mind.

The hiring process was pretty laid-back. I chatted with the manager outside the store, and we just talked. She asked me a bunch of stuff about why I was interested in the role and my past work history.
