Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Smith+Nephew.
Sales Associate
The interview was pretty casual, mostly with the regional manager. He seemed to make a quick judgment on my 2 years of industry experience, which I think is enough for an Associate Role. However, I decided it wasn't a good fit for me and withdrew from the process later that week.
- Could you tell me about yourself and walk me through your previous job experiences?
Sales Associate
The interview process was a mess. The hiring manager cancelled on me the morning of the interview, literally w/i an hour of our appointment time, after I had traveled to the area the day before. Tried to reschedule several times and then finally after 2 weeks, we had a one on one interview. It was your typical sales interview - STARS etc and what makes your different than other sales reps. The interview was not bad but the entire process was all over the place.
- Can you tell me about your most significant sales accomplishment and the reasons behind it?
- Describe a situation where you encountered a problem or issue with a customer, how you managed it, and what the result was.
Sales Associate
It was a self video interview. You could re-record as many times as you wanted for each question. There were 6 questions in total, and they were pretty typical questions for this kind of role. It started with an 'introduce yourself' question, then moved on to asking about customer relations and things like that.
- Can you tell me about a situation where you provided outstanding customer service?
