First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Smith+Nephew.
Quality Engineer
I got an email asking if I was free for a 30-minute phone chat for a Quality Engineer role at Smith+Nephew. The interview started off a bit rough, though. The person interviewing me first said I wasn't a good fit because I don't live in Pittsburgh, which I had to explain that a lot of people commute daily from Ohio. Then they mentioned I didn't have manufacturing experience, and I had to clarify that most of my background is in manufacturing, working right on the production floor. Lastly, they decided I had too much experience for the job.

Quality Engineer
I had a phone interview first, and then about two weeks later, I had an in-person interview. They said I'd hear back from HR in three weeks, but they never got in touch. Everyone I met was really nice and easy to talk to. The only problem was that nobody followed up like they said they would.
- How would you demonstrate to colleagues more efficient methods for completing a project?
Quality Engineer
Pretty straightforward. I dropped my resume at a career fair on campus and then had an interview at their office building. They gave me the offer about a week later in April.
