First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SMB Team.
Sales Executive
The whole thing took about 3 weeks. I had a few virtual meetings with different execs, including the owner, plus a recorded interview where I answered questions. They were really positive about the services they offer, which was cool to see and hear. The recorded interview was kinda informal but I guess that's to show the higher-ups. It was a pretty standard process, but the end was a bit rough when they said I didn't have enough 'drive' and needed to 'prove' myself. I decided not to continue because it felt a bit toxic.

- What sales methods do you use?
Client Experience Specialist
The interview process was pretty smooth overall. One thing that was a bit off-putting was that they wanted me to start immediately, even though I told them multiple times that I needed to give my current employer notice. I went through about 3 rounds of live interviews and screenings. This doesn't include a round where I had to record "video" interview questions on my own time before the second interview. Near the end, we also did "roleplay" scenarios to see how we'd handle difficult client-facing situations.
- What's your take on whether the customer is always right?
PPC Account Manager
I applied online and got an email from HR for a phone interview. After that, I had a second interview with operations and the final one with the director of paid media. They asked good PPC questions to check my knowledge. The interview process was generally good and it seems like a solid agency for client work. I haven't heard back about a job offer, which is a negative point since the interview itself was quick and easy.
- Can you explain what local search is and how it functions?
Recruiter
The interview process was thorough and informative. I met with several people. There were quite a few things that were required outside of just the interviews that made it a bit of a commitment. They seem to be thorough in their approach which I can appreciate.
- What are your salary expectations and career goals?
