Trader Intern
After you send in an application about yourself as a trader and your experience, they will ask you to make a playbook of a trade you took recently and then ask you to attend an interview.
- How would you spend an extra hour in your day?
Trader
This was a straightforward interview where I was asked some good questions. If you're interested in relocating to New York, this could be a great opportunity. For those who love to trade and are eager to expand their knowledge, this firm might be a suitable choice.
- Tell me about your market experience.
Intern
The technicals were basically the core of the interview process. There were also a lot of personality questions that require thought and preparation, so make sure you know your answers. It's also important to understand what an equity is, as sometimes people confuse it with just talking about the stock market.
- Regarding your interest in trading, why this field?
- Why are you interested in a sales role?
- What aspects do you find appealing?
Developing Trader
The interview process felt good. Because I came prepared, they were happy to share and answer all questions I had. It was casual at first and got more formal as we discussed trading more directly. They were very interested in understanding my risk management style and approach towards risk in general, and also wanted to understand my playbook and share their experience with that type of play.
- How many years have you been trading
- What is your playbook for trading
- Can you describe your risk management style and approach to risk
