First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SmartTalent.
Recruiting Coordinator
The interview process was very easy and smooth. Both managers were friendly and easy to speak with. It was a bit much to have to meet with both managers, especially considering the salaries (no commission for a lot of work), which should be simpler.
- Can you tell me about your customer service experience?
Recruiter
My interview involved a phone screen, followed by an in-person meeting. They also sent a typing test and requested writing samples. I decided not to move forward because the writing assignment was overwhelming. It required me to create about 5 job postings based on notes from a client meeting. The notes clearly had authentic mistakes, like spelling errors and sensitive client info. The office only had two employees when I interviewed, and while they seemed nice, they were clearly swamped. It felt like they were trying to exploit my experience and time, not to mention the ethical concerns of using job postings drafted by candidates.
- Regarding personality, do you think you'd be a good fit for our office culture?
Business Development Manager
The interview process was quite thorough, involving meetings with both the Director and the President. They were both very professional, and their questions and the way they handled things ultimately led me to choose SmartTalent over other offers. I really feel like this is a career opportunity, not just a job.
- How do you think your sales skills would make you stand out compared to other salespeople in the field?
Temporary Employment
The application process was all online and moved quickly, which was a nice change from what you usually see. This temporary employer had a bunch of different job openings they were willing to talk about, which made me feel good about working there.
- Can you describe how the interviewer used your resume and any test results to ensure a productive interview?
