First, there's a phone interview where they ask about your strengths and weaknesses in the business and your 5-year career goals. Then, you need to bring two models for a practical audition. You'll do a basic long layer haircut, a blowout, and a men's cut. Some places also require a highlight on the crown, depending on the manager. You're timed, and they'll check your work without hovering too much. They'll give feedback on your work, then have a sit-down interview in the office. The manager I spoke to was very encouraging about my career potential, making me feel inspired and motivated even though I later realized it wasn't the right fit.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I met with the District Leader at the Salon. It was a slower day of the week so there weren't many clients coming in. She looked over my resume briefly and told me about the company, the salon, and how the pay scale works. Overall it was an easygoing process. There was also a practical interview where I had to go into the salon on a different day. They had me perform two haircuts (clipper cut and a scissor cut) and a style. I don't think they have you do color services in the interviews. The process was fairly quick though.

I applied online and the very next morning got a call asking if I wanted to come in for an interview. I went in the day after that. It was a really chill vibe. I talked with the store manager and district manager. The interview was about 30 to 45 minutes. I got hired right there.
