Service Operations Engineer
It was a long interview process, with about 5 different steps. They said to expect to spend 15-20 hours studying for the final 2 steps, which included giving an in-person presentation to executives.
- Can you describe the various features that are associated with campaigns?
Operations Engineer
It's a pretty intense hiring process that takes about 3-4 weeks. There are five stages, and they all just kinda flow into each other. The idea is to see how fast you can learn stuff, not just what you already know. It's a good way for you to get a feel for Smartly's culture and product, and for us to find people who are really motivated. They do a good job of keeping you in the loop. The interviews are pretty general, not super specific to the role, but you can ask whatever you want.
- Intro call with the team lead to discuss the company, culture, and team, and for Smartly to learn about you. It's a pretty relaxed chat.
- You'll get a take-home tech puzzle that involves some scripting and technical problem-solving. If you're on the right track, it shouldn't take too much time.
- An interview covering your technical background, your understanding of Facebook advertising, your personality, and other relevant experience.
Service Operations Engineer
The interview process included several cultural interviews, questions about Facebook concepts, and a live demo of the app. Throughout the whole process, HR was super helpful and everyone involved were very transparent in their questions. When I didn't understand the question or didn't know how to answer, I responded that I didn't know, but I was ready to search for the answers post-interview.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered failure?
