Chief Revenue Officer
It's a typical interview process at a Seattle tech company. You'll first talk to HR, then meet with C-level executives. They'll keep emphasizing how much they care about company 'culture' and 'fit'. You'll soon realize, from talking to them directly, that you don't want to be part of their 'culture' or 'fit'. You'll decide to withdraw from the process after a few weeks.

Senior Software Developer/Technical Lead
I went through three rounds: a technical one, a techno-managerial one, and a director round. They were all average difficulty and I felt they went pretty well. It's a bit of a bummer though, after finishing all three, I haven't heard back from the recruiter at all, not even any feedback. Honestly, after putting in the effort for three rounds, you'd at least expect some kind of feedback, good or bad.
- Could you explain some basic .Net concepts?
- Do you have any general questions about the projects?
Trainee Engineer
It was a 3-stage interview process. The first stage involved basic programming and logic questions. The second stage was with the manager. They asked questions from my resume and my first round answers. We also discussed current tech trends and general world events. We talked about expectations too, in case I got the offer. The manager was looking for more technical depth, but I focused on logic since I'm a trainee.
- Can you elaborate on your responses from the initial round?
- Could you explain the reasoning behind your approach and the logic you used in the first round?
- What do you see as the current trends in the technology landscape?
Technical Lead
Overall a disappointing experience. The recruiter was good though, explained the role well and scheduled interviews quickly. The first interview was easy. The second had some coding questions. The final interview was terrible. The interviewer seemed completely uninterested, asked about my previous interviews, then gave a coding scenario without even looking at the screen, while eating and yawning. I'm sure this impacted my chances. If you don't want to hire someone, just be professional and don't waste their time with interviews.
- coding questions about backend systems
- coding questions about frameworks
- coding questions about authentication
