Smart Circle owns other companies, and they train managers from scratch to run them. I got hired by WC International, and it's been a good experience. Some people criticize how many people they hire, but it's a tough job, and they always need to replace people who don't make it. It's not an excuse; some folks are just closed-minded. Working for Worldwide Concepts/Smart Circle is a big chance, especially if you're business-minded but have a degree in something like education or science.

Behavioral Presentation

I was interviewed along with another candidate for the same Sales position. He was interviewed first, then me. The first interview was brief and direct. I was asked about my background, sales approach, and how quickly I can learn. The questions came fast, as they wanted to see how well I think on my feet. Later that day, I had a second interview at a store where Smart Circle operates. It was similar to the first, with a different interviewer, and I got a quick look at what the job entails. The staff were all really friendly and energetic. I found out later that the most crucial part of the interview was showing the SEE Factors: smile, eye contact, and enthusiasm. I got a job offer and accepted it.

I applied online and got a call from HR for a quick 10-minute intro chat about my past experiences. Right after, I received an email for an interview. I attended the interview, which was about 45 minutes long and in person. They talked about the job details and how my experience matched. I haven't heard back since, even after emailing them twice. It's disappointing not to get any response, even just a rejection notification.

Behavioral Other

The first interview is at the office. If you're not incompetent, you'll get a second interview at a Sam's Club, grocery store, or small department store. They use a national script with false hopes, salaries, and questions designed to put you on the back foot and make you think it's a very hard position to get.
