Behavioral Technical Case

We had 4 main rounds. It started with a casual chat, then an offline exercise which we reviewed on a call. Following that was another call to go over the exercise, and then a final call with a senior leader. There were also some smaller calls with the recruiter sprinkled in, and a final call about the offer.

Case Technical Presentation

For the Gateway team, I went through 3 rounds. The first was with the VP of business, the second with my hiring manager, and the third with the tech and design teams. A tip: try to ask about your specific role ahead of time.

Case Behavioral Technical

I went through 3 rounds. First was a case study where I had to figure out how to boost engagement and revenue for a product. The second round was an interview focusing on stakeholder management, plus some situational and behavioral questions. For the third round, I got an assignment to complete over the weekend. After I submitted it, the manager said they'd reply in a few days but then totally ghosted me. My emails were never answered. It's disappointing that a company like smallcase treats candidates this way. Makes you wonder about their work culture. At the very least, they could let you know they aren't interested and not waste people's time and effort.
