Technical Presentation

After completing all the tests and a phone interview, I then had an interview with the store manager. Following that, I interviewed with the regional manager (for SD, IA, MN, WI) in a busy mall food court. This was a pretty standard final interview for a sales position, except for the very end where I was asked to "plead" for the position and "close my manager." They made me repeat this closing attempt two more times when my first attempt was not sufficient. It was one of the most humiliating processes I've ever experienced, to say the least.

I had a phone interview first, and then I met the store manager at the mall. It was really relaxed, more like a casual chat. After that, I interviewed with the District Manager, also at a mall. That was a bit more formal but still nice. I also visited a store to check out the vibe.

Behavioral Presentation

I was contacted by phone and asked some basic questions like "Why are you interested in employment at Sleep Number?" and about my experience. I told him that my husband and I had bought a Sleep Number mattress years ago and liked it so much we bought another when we moved. Then I set up an interview with the store manager.
