Customer Service Representative
So I had my resume up on a job site and then a recruiter reached out. They scheduled me for an initial phone interview, and then another phone interview after that. Then they set up an onsite visit that included a tour of the call center and listening to some live calls for about 30 minutes. After that, a supervisor interviewed me with questions about handling different situations. I had another quick interview right after that only lasted about 5 minutes. HR called me with an offer a few hours after I left, but they said it usually takes longer. They do make you consent to a background and reference check before the in-person interview, and they also do a drug screen after you accept the offer.
- Can you tell me about a time you dealt with an upset customer and how you handled it?
Customer Service Representative
I put in my application online and after about two weeks, I got an email about setting up a phone interview. It actually ended up in my spam folder for a couple of days! The phone interview went really well, and then they scheduled me for an in-person interview with a manager at their New Orleans office. It was pretty quick, professional, and they got right to it. They asked me why I was interested in the company, what skills I had that would fit, and some standard behavioral stuff. After the questions, they showed me around the new office and then I was on my way. The interview was on a Monday, and they called me the very next day to offer me the job – apparently, I was just what they needed! Training is set to start in about 2 to 3 weeks.
- Can you share an instance where you went above and beyond for a customer?
- Tell me about your familiarity with computer applications.
Customer Service Specialist
First, I had a phone screening, then upper management called me for another phone interview, and the last interview included a site tour. The recruiter was really nice and helpful.
- Were there any particularly challenging questions?
