Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SLB.
IT Analyst
It started with a written test that was graded, then there was a first oral interview with the Service Desk supervisor. After that, I had a follow up interview with the Service Desk Manager. The whole thing took about a month.
- There were technical questions on the written test about troubleshooting, Windows support, minimal coding, networking, and infrastructure services.
Business Analyst
It was a bad experience at business analyst post in Schlumberger PICT branch....The interview process is good...They take 5-6 interviews and then select the candidates...In my case I went through 2 interviews...1st was good and then the 2nd was too bad...in the 2nd interview the interviewer was too frustrated kind and had a bad tone...he asked only 1 quest and rejected me from interview process..I literally don't know on what basis the interviewer rejected me....though I gave an satisfactory answer for the question asked.!
- What is the difference between C and C++?
Business Analyst
I had a call with a senior manager. She asked me a business case question: 'if an IOC wants to invest in Indonesia, what will you do?' This was a classic business case, so starting from demographics, I said the company's expertise and balance sheet should be good. Don't forget to take the interviewer as your own customer. Relay messages, listen and ask your client, etc. As suggested by Vaultcareer for business case interviews with top-tier management consulting companies, practice business cases!
- What would you advise a client if they were considering investing in a particular country?
