Project Manager
Scheduling was a mess, they didn't ask about my availability and when I asked to reschedule due to a conflict, they did it again without telling me, so I got a bunch of cancellations and new times, still not respecting my work schedule. The interviewer seemed bored, didn't do any intro, just started with 'what work are you doing today?'. They didn't explain the role or responsibilities and couldn't say how teams are resourced. They got frustrated my experience wasn't an exact match for what they had in mind, which might have been for the recruiter, but it felt like I was wasting their time. Super disappointing.

Project Manager
I got an email asking if I was free for a quick phone call next week. I told them when I was free and they confirmed the date and time the next day. The call started on time, and the interviewer was nice. I had to ask about the rest of the interview process at the end, but they said it would be a phone screen followed by an in-person interview.
- Describe a challenging situation you encountered within a team and how you managed it.
Project Manager
So this interview process was pretty different from what I've seen before, in a good way! Everything was super organized, from the first chat with the recruiter all the way to the final interview with the director. My first meeting was at a coffee shop near my old job, and then the other two interviews were right there at the Slalom office. The HR person was really great about sorting out dates and times that worked. They really focused on asking questions that gave them a good sense of me and my past work. Even though I was pretty nervous, the interviewers were so chill, it helped me loosen up a lot.
- Can you describe your most difficult project?
