Slalom Business Analyst Interview Questions

I've interviewed at a few places, and I have to say Slalom Boston's process is top-notch, really living up to the Glassdoor reviews. It wasn't just smooth and pleasant, but super clear too. The hiring manager was really responsive and totally worked with my schedule. I talked to 5 interviewers, ranging from mid-senior folks up to a regional director, and every chat was genuinely interesting. I learned a ton about Slalom. During the interviews, it felt like I was already part of the team. They also gave me feedback quickly after each meeting.

I sent in my resume online via the Slalom website. A couple of weeks later, a recruiter reached out to set up a phone interview. After some back-and-forth, we found a time that worked. The phone interview wasn't too tough - we talked about my experience and where I'd prefer to work. The recruiter mentioned they'd check in with the local office about openings. But then... crickets. I tried emailing and calling the recruiter to get an update, but never heard back. I get that recruiters are swamped, but some kind of response, even a quick message saying Slalom wasn't hiring right now, would've been appreciated. During our chat, the recruiter was clear that Slalom aims to hire based on demand to avoid having people idle without projects. Each office operates pretty much on its own.

The interview process was very structured. First, I had a call with a recruiter where we talked about my background, experience, and the company culture to see if it was a good fit. Then, I interviewed with other Business Analysts. They asked me detailed questions about my past projects, clients, and implementations. The last interviews were with practice leads and executives. They wanted to see how my skills matched up with their needs and to share their vision for the practice. Throughout the interviews, there was a good balance of me asking questions and them asking me questions. Everyone I met was really nice, open, and honest. It was a great experience overall.
