The process was quite extensive. I had the chance to interact with numerous team members, which provided valuable insights into the work environment and the company's overall culture. It was particularly beneficial to have a meeting with the CEO to gain a clearer understanding of the company's future vision and strategic direction.

I sent in my resume online and then a recruiter called me for a phone screen. After that, they asked me to do a user experience task and send it back in a week. The task was to brainstorm future challenges for Slack and figure out how UX can help solve them.

The process started with a phone interview. Then, my portfolio was reviewed by creative peers, followed by a 1:1 with the owner. He took a casual approach, exchanging ideas and reviewing my portfolio. He was looking for a personable leader/mentor but ultimately hired a 'big name'.

Behavioral Technical

So, this whole hiring process was just super long and tiring. It involved two interviews, and each one lasted for about two hours. In the first interview, I met with four different people. Then, for the second interview, three of those same people were there again, plus the CEO. During the first interview, I spoke with four people individually. For the second interview, it was like two people interviewing me at the same time for the first half, and then two different people interviewing me at the same time for the second half. I got a call from HR for an initial screen, then had the first interview that same week. A week later, I was contacted for the second interview. After that second interview, I never heard back from anyone, even after sending thank you notes. It felt like a total waste of my time! They could have at least sent a rejection email since I used my personal time for those two long interviews. My advice: don't apply here!
