& Process

You'll have about 4 or 5 phone interviews with different leaders. You'll start with HR, then talk to a Managing Director, and then a VP.

I started with a short 20 minute phone call with someone from HR, mostly asking about my previous jobs. They were nice. After that, I went to the Eagan office for another interview. Even though traffic made me a little late, I still made it just in time. When I got there, they handed me a big packet with forms to fill out, asking for all my work history, education, and references again. It took about 10 minutes of rushing and felt pointless since I had already provided all this info online. Nobody told me I needed to come early for this paperwork. Then, the manager and another marketing assistant took me to a conference room. They were friendly and asked typical questions about measuring success and handling challenges. They also threw in some unusual questions about what my friends would say about me, my idea for a Super Bowl ad, and if I liked food. The people were great, but the process was really inconvenient and inefficient.

So first, there was like a phone screening, super basic. Then I had two or three 1:1s with my department head. After that, I talked with the team members I'd be working with, to see if I'd fit in and stuff. Honestly, it was pretty demanding but I knew I could handle it, so it wasn't that hard for me.

This interview process felt long and repetitive. Expect to be asked the same things multiple times across 3-4 interviews. They really like corporate jargon. It seemed like a place that rewards cult-like, cliquey behavior. The job ended up being very different from what was advertised in terms of role, pay, and culture. Watch out!
