My interview experience was great, starting with my initial chat with Michael and continuing through 6 or 7 stages. Everyone I met with was really helpful and would go the extra mile to get answers for me. It wasn't a cakewalk though, as I spoke with a lot of the executives and they really dug into things, and I did too. It was good having Michael as a point person to check in with.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was quite thorough, kicking off with the Head of Talent and then moving on to chats with all the department heads. It felt more like a back-and-forth about the company, its products, the market landscape, potential opportunities, and the hurdles they face. The Skyflow team really came across as passionate and committed, super bright, and genuinely thoughtful about the kind of person they were looking for to join their team. I actually enjoyed the discussions and got a good sense of the culture and whether my skills would be a good fit for the company's path forward. The final step involved me presenting a 30-60-90 day plan, showcasing what I'd gathered about the company, its products, challenges, and key focus areas. The team was fully engaged and asked really relevant questions.

The whole thing was a complete waste of time, honestly. I wouldn't even bother with their interviews if I were you. They put me through 3 rounds over 3-4 weeks, and then after all that, they said they liked me but wanted to put me on hold for 2-3 months. Like, if they'd just told me that after the first interview or the initial chat, fine. But this vague feedback came more than a week after the third round. Super frustrating experience overall.

The CEO/Cofounder reached out on LinkedIn and we connected due to mutual contacts from a previous job. This role was for the first Product hire. After that, I spoke with the CTO/Cofounder and the engineering leads. I had to do a presentation on a project I'd done, showing how my team took it from nothing to something. I really dug Skyflow's vision and the founding team's quality, so I accepted the offer. I've been at Skyflow for about a year and a half and I'm really happy. Since it's a fast-growing startup, the interview process changes a lot. My advice to people interviewing is to show you're interested in Skyflow by asking good questions and doing your homework on the market and industry.
