First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Skydance.
Nuke Compositor
Got my foot in the door thanks to a personal contact. It was an interesting interview. They needed extra hands for their VFX team and I got to take charge of the rotoscoping.
- What's your experience level with rotoscoping?
- How familiar are you with Nuke?
Executive Assistant
A recruiter reached out about my application, and we set up a phone call. I spoke with a recruiter from Skydance on the phone. They did reschedule once because of a conflict on their side, but otherwise, it was pretty straightforward.
- What is your motivation for wanting to work at this company?
- Could you describe your methods for staying organized?
3D Animator
The interview experience was really great. The recruiter was super nice and they responded with an offer really quickly. I submitted my application in January, and they got in touch in February. About a week after the first interview, they sent me an official offer.
- What are your expectations for this company?
Manager
It was a mess, honestly. HR was not communicative, despite repeated follow ups. I met with HR initially, met with the hiring manager, and then was assigned a project to do. I never heard back, despite an email follow up months later that I was a top candidate for the role. I was ghosted despite committing my time to do free work for the company.
- Why this company?
- What are your interests?
