The interview process was extremely convoluted, involving at least 6 interviews, often scheduled at inconvenient early morning hours. It also included a skills exam that was plagued with technical issues on their end. The whole thing dragged on for 2 months, which is ridiculous considering some reviews from US-based candidates mentioned a process that took at most a week. To top it off, they offer absolutely no feedback despite the significant amount of time you invest. It's despicable.

Behavioral Technical

I was reached out to by a recruiter and then had a 30 minute call with one of their directors. The call was pretty standard. From the call, I gathered that this position was a lot less technical than I traditional Sales engineering gig, and it seemed a lot more like an account manager / account executive role, so I wasn't really interested. This combined with the really bad glassdoor reviews was enough for me to decide that I wasn't interested. I never heard back from Skycatch, so I'm not sure if they sensed my lack of interest (which I was pretty open about) or if they didn't like my experience. I tried asking him about the cultural problems mentioned in the glassdoor reviews, but I got a lot of fluff about the positive and hardworking culture they promote.

Behavioral

I put in my application and heard back for an initial phone chat with the recruiter. She asked the usual stuff, plus two questions that struck me as really weird. I didn't really think the questions were useful for figuring out if someone was a good fit. The call was about 10 minutes. We both pretty much knew right away we weren't going to move forward with each other.

The interview process was amazing and very practical, not really following industry standards. It's a unique company with brilliant people assessing you. The interview was awesome because they wanted to see your skills through programming and a practical approach, instead of just asking pointless questions.
