They seem to prefer candidates with minimal to no prior experience, and my previous work history didn't seem to impress them much. What they really cared about was my availability for scheduling and the entry-level salary. The whole vibe didn't exactly make me feel confident about working there.

The hiring process is pretty intensive. It's a two step interview. Focus is on your ability to set goals, customer service skills and why you love skoah. They are very interested in what your personal life goals are. They are looking for ambitious go-getter types who show a lot of initiative and are fun and outgoing. The team are a fun and chatty bunch and are pretty laid back.

It was a really thorough process, which I actually liked. I got a good sense of the company values. I figure if they're willing to take the time to interview carefully, they must really care about the people they hire and their customers. They seemed genuinely interested in my goals, and I thought that spoke volumes about the company and what they stand for.

I saw an ad on craigslist for skincare coaches or management in Seattle and applied. A few days later, they reached out to schedule a Skype interview. It was awkward but okay. Then they said they'd set up an interview with the regional manager, but never did.
