The recruiter called me for a phone interview. I felt it went well, and they told me my resume would be given to the Hiring Manager for a second interview, which would be in person. I sent a thank you to the recruiter right away, but didn't hear back. Five days later, I got a generic email from the same recruiter saying I wasn't chosen to continue. It was pretty unprofessional to say I'd have a second interview if they weren't going to move me forward.

Applied online and then a recruiter reached out for a phone screen. The interview seemed to go well, as the recruiter mentioned setting up a second phone interview with the Director of HR and said I'd hear back about availability. I sent a thank you email right after, but never heard back about scheduling. I followed up a week later with no response. Two weeks passed, and the recruiter sent a generic rejection email. A month later, the same position was reposted.

Set up an interview, which was a 30 minute conversation. I spoke with a really great Merchandising Director a few years back. She was awesome and asked some good questions. Nothing too hard, just the basics. It felt more like a chat between coworkers.

I talked with the manager of the department and the conversation went really well, as did my portfolio review. They walked me through what the day-to-day would look like and offered me a take-home design assignment, but then I never heard back from them.
