Program Manager
I didn’t think I was a good fit for this role due to my current responsibilities and pay grade, but the recruiter convinced me to proceed, despite not directly answering my pay concerns. The initial part of the process was promising. My first interview was engaging and well-thought-out. It happened on a Friday, and I got instant feedback and encouragement to move forward quickly. I was scheduled for another interview the following Monday. However, things took a turn for the worse. The second interview felt hurried and too focused on specific tasks, with the interviewer mentioning they had a lot of second interviews that week. After that discussion, communication ceased. I waited over a week without hearing anything. When the recruiter finally called, I inquired about the delay, as I was told I’d hear back within a day or so. Rather than taking responsibility, the recruiter blamed the interviewer. I was then informed that one more interview was left and that I should expect to hear back within one to two days. The third interview went well, but again, communication stopped. After four days without an update, I contacted the recruiter, but received no reply. He finally called me late on Friday at 5 p.m. I called him back immediately, but he never answered or followed up. I never got an official rejection or any confirmation. I had to assume the outcome. It was a frustrating and unprofessional experience overall. If this lack of organization and accountability is typical of their internal processes, I would seriously reconsider working with this company.

Team Member
The interview process felt disorganized and unpredictable. After a phone screening with around 50 scenario-based questions, I was scheduled for an in-person interview. However, I never met with the person I originally spoke to. Instead, I was escorted to whichever interviewer was available, answered another 50 questions, and was then passed to yet another interviewer who made the end very intimidating. Given my years of experience in luxury retail, their uncertainty in selecting a candidate was noticeable. The lack of structure in their hiring process doesn’t reflect well on their organization. For a basic team member role, It’s very disappointing. This is Skims not Chanel.

Vice President
Application to scheduling was super fast, under a week. First up was a phone screen. I liked how casual it was, but it was still structured, letting me talk about my experience, answer tough questions, and ask my own. The recruiter was friendly, sharp, and a big fan of the company. She was also encouraging and gave me tips for the next step. She gave me a realistic timeline, and within the week, I had a call scheduled with the hiring manager. That call was on Zoom. She was prepared and shared a lot about the current situation, what they're aiming for, and her own journey. Both interviewers asked direct questions about my past work and any perceived weaknesses, in a way that felt like an open chat and made me feel I could really show what I'd done. A week later, I got a personal call saying they picked someone else. They were really generous with feedback though. It's obvious this is a unique company, from their product innovation, clear brand message, and the kind, professional people on the team.

- What are your needs from a leader?
Production Manager
I had an amazing interview and was 100% sure I'd get a call back for another interview, but instead, I never heard anything. I reached out to the recruiter with no response. Three months went by and the same recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn asking me to interview for the same position because I looked like a good fit. I replied that I already interviewed for this position and never heard back, and the recruiter never responded again. I felt this was very unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. Since then, I have even applied to similar positions that I qualify for and have gone months with no response to then suddenly receive a rejection email. Let’s just say I will not be applying to this company anymore.
