First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Skience.
Data Analyst
The interview process started with an online test, followed by a group discussion. The final round was a technical interview where they asked me to write a query and discuss past coding projects, including a challenging one.
- Can you explain your interest in nineleaps and the data analyst position?
- Could you tell me why you are interested in the data analyst role?
- Tell me about your experience writing queries.
Intern
The interview process included an aptitude round focusing on logical reasoning, analytic skills, and problem-solving. Then there was a technical round with coding questions in a programming language, and a technical interview asking basic questions in any programming language. They also asked questions about the company. Overall, it was a good experience.
- Can you explain the difference between slice and splice?
Software Engineer
This is a small company and you can't even see the name from the street. The first round was a basic technical phone call. For the second round, they called me into the office, which was a long trip for me. The interview started, but the interviewer had communication issues, so it took me a while to understand his questions before I could answer. I passed that round and moved to the next, a managerial round. There, I encountered the same communication problems. I felt the situation was horrible and that they weren't technically good enough. The HR people were the worst. I strongly advise against joining this company unless you're desperate.

Business Analyst
The interview process was smooth, starting with an HR screening, then a technical round, and two manager rounds. Finally, there was an HR interaction to discuss salary expectations and roles/responsibilities. HR was responsive to queries and provided quick feedback, though delays occurred during holidays or when HR was on leave.
- Can you describe your experience in your current role?
- How would you approach case studies and scenario-based questions?
- What are your thoughts on BA practices like Agile, Scrum, and documentation?
