Structural Engineer
I had a 30-minute video chat with three structural engineers from SOM. It was a mix of behavioral questions about teamwork, challenges, and decision-making, plus technical questions covering structural design basics, problem-solving, and detailing. They also asked about projects I find interesting and why, so I could connect my background to SOM's work.

I applied for the job on the company website. The site wasn't very easy to use and took a while to complete the application. A few weeks later, HR reached out. They requested my official transcripts and recommendation letters. A week after that, I interviewed with the associate directors.
