Quick back and forth with recruiter, then manager, with a quick test. Heard back relatively fast. Took some back and forth through questions but after meeting with recruiter, the process went fast.

It was a pretty standard video call interview. They asked about basic tech literacy and customer support skills. I was asked about difficult situations with customers or coworkers and how I'd handle them. They also mentioned asking how I would handle a day with several poorly received calls. Noteworthy, the availability email asked for name and pronouns and everyone was good about using my correct pronouns, but there was an obvious disconnect between the interview and the hiring process, as my official HR rep used my deadname.

The interview process was pretty straightforward. The person interviewing me was really friendly, which made me feel comfortable. They asked some easy questions that didn't make things overly complicated. I was pretty surprised the interview lasted about an hour.

I had five interviews with top management in one week. They were all remote and very personable. Then I was scheduled for another interview with the president and founder the following week. But on Wednesday night before the interview, I got a cancellation notice with no explanation. I was expecting a reschedule email the next day, but nothing came. I emailed the recruiter asking for reschedule info, but never got a response. It was strange because I expected at least a standard rejection email. As a former founder, I know they don't have to respond, but I rearranged my schedule for these interviews and just wanted an explanation or response. I've hired many people and always sent a rejection email. It was very disappointing and unprofessional, especially since I was excited about the job.
