The interview process itself is fairly simple, and the questions were all standard. The issue came in with a specific individual who was incredibly rude. He had no interest in being in the interview, obviously. He himself also noted during the interview that candidates often think he isn't paying attention? Terrible way to start an interview, but lo and behold, I saw exactly what he was referring to. If people complain about an interview recurringly - it's obviously a sign to stop using this person as an initial point of contact for prospects. Awful attitude, uninterested and rude. Make sure to ask about salary range up front, as they are far below market. Starting employees as contractors is also just a cheap excuse to avoid providing benefits.

Behavioral Case Presentation

The interview process had three video chats. First, a 30-minute chat with the hiring team. Then, a 30-minute chat with a senior-level person. Finally, a 45-minute video call to tackle a case study. The hiring team was super communicative and nice throughout. They even called to let me know they liked me and one other candidate, but went with the other person. HR was on it, which was great, and I didn't have to wait around. They gave me direct feedback on the call, and I really respected how they treated me. I wish I got the job, but I'm glad they found someone good.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • All questions were behavioral, except for the 45-minute case study. For the case study, make sure you clearly explain your thought process and the tools you'd use. They want to see your problem-solving approach, not trick you.

Behavioral Technical

I went through 3 rounds of interviews, all via video. The job was advertised as temp-to-hire, and I made sure all interviewers knew I couldn't do temp-to-hire. The first two interviews went great, and they knew I wouldn't do temp-to-hire, but I still got moved to the next round quickly. The last interviewer seemed hesitant about my temp-to-hire situation. They asked if I was open to working weekends or other hours as a workaround, and I said yes, but I still need work-life balance. I was asked for references after the third interview, but they never followed up. It was frustrating because it seemed like I was getting an offer. I know there are a lot of applicants, but after 3 rounds and references being checked, it was unprofessional of SiteRx to not communicate.

Behavioral Other

The interview process was a complete mess with poor communication between the early stages. After the second round, I got a call saying they were passing on me, but then I was offered the position. After signing the offer letter, two days before my start date, SiteRX contacted me to say they were rescinding the offer because they failed to secure Series B funding and were cutting staff and rescinding other offers. It was a total waste of time. In hindsight, it was a good thing I didn't end up there. It seems like an unstable start-up, so I'd avoid it.
