First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SiriusDecisions.
Account Executive
The interview process was pretty straightforward and they moved me along quickly. Expectations were clear at each level, and everyone in the organization was really helpful at every stage and in setting up the next steps. The presentation part was well-planned and I had a lot of support beforehand. Honestly, it was one of the best experiences I've had with a company's HR and interview process. I had connected with HR about a different role earlier in the year, and after a good chat, we both agreed it wasn't the best fit for me, but they suggested a better role. When that role opened up in my area, they were very quick to reach out and get me into the interview process. They only paused to reconnect when I wanted to check in on new developments and hiring goals. The hiring managers were very professional and friendly throughout the whole process, making it feel like a genuine two-way conversation about fit. My advice is to do your homework and be honest, and it will become clear if this is the right organization for you.
- Can you walk me through your typical sales process?
Account Executive
The interview process was really thorough. I had an initial chat with HR, then went through 4 phone screens, followed by 4 in-person interviews, and finally a presentation. I found the presentation part particularly interesting because it was interactive, which I enjoyed. It was great that the CEO even joined my presentation and seemed really involved, asking thoughtful questions. I appreciated this approach because it gave me a good sense of the collaborative environment I'd be joining if I got the role.
- Can you share an instance where you received feedback you disagreed with, explain how you addressed it, and detail your reasoning for not agreeing?
Account Executive
The recruiter from Sirius pitched the role to me. After I agreed to move forward, there was an initial HR phone screen. Then, I had a meeting with the regional sales leaders. They requested a writing sample, after which I proceeded to a phone screen with the founders. The final stage involved a presentation to the founders and regional sales leaders.
