First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sinai Health.
Registered Nurse
The interview process included some clinical questions tailored to the specific unit, along with more standard interpersonal questions. There were two interviewers: the manager and an educator. The interview was conducted on Zoom. I had prior experience on this unit from a previous role.
- Can you describe your ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment?
Registered Nurse
I got an email from a manager and we arranged a time. Then I had an online interview that was about 30 minutes long with two people, the hiring manager and a clinical nurse specialist. They were really friendly.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What made you choose this unit?
- How do you see this unit contributing to your professional goals?
Registered Nurse
I got an email asking me to come in for an interview. They gave me a date and time and asked if it worked for me. They asked some general questions like about my nursing skills, to tell them about myself, if I'm involved in any organizations, and where I see myself in 5 years. Then, there were some case-based questions with scenarios, which were a bit tough. The interviewers told me more about the position and asked if I had any questions. I was hired right then and got an email with an offer.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations to care for a patient?
- Describe a situation where you had a disagreement with a colleague, how you handled it, and the outcome?
