The founder and CEO, Vivek, initially messaged me on AList about having a 'chat'. It turned out to be a full tech screen instead. They immediately started asking rapid-fire questions, including about my previous job's technical challenges, and then an oral algorithms question about efficiently creating a join table. The interview lasted 20 minutes and I didn't get a chance to ask any questions. It's been over a week with no response. It was a pretty unpleasant experience, whether considered a chat or a tech interview.

Technical Coding Behavioral Presentation

My interview experience involved a phone screen, followed by an onsite technical interview. After that, I was invited back for a dinner with some long-term employees and a founder. The technical interview was tough but fair. While some parts didn't go great, others were really strong. I particularly enjoyed a session with the product manager discussing a new feature implementation, and I also had a good chat with the CEO. It was surprising that I never got a response, even after following up three times. They completely ghosted me, so I wouldn't recommend interviewing with them.

The interview process had 3 stages. First, a technical phone screen where I talked about past projects. Then, an on-site programming challenge that lasted an hour. Finally, a longer 4-hour on-site programming challenge with a spec. I got good feedback throughout, so I had a sense of how I was doing. I got an offer right after the last on-site, and the team celebrated with dinner.
