So the interview process is pretty long, but once you're in, you'll get why they do it that way. It's actually a really good way to see what the job is like, and it's awesome to have a solid team with you. If you're good with words, both written and spoken, you'll be fine as long as you're also empathetic and kind. You'll work on practice 'tickets' and get to study the learner's guide on your own time.

It started with an assessment, followed by 10 practice tickets. They mentioned a 7-10 day callback period after finishing the practice tickets. I finished mine on 12/24 and only got a response on 1/29, saying they were moving forward with other candidates. Some of the test tickets were really difficult due to a lack of available information to respond accurately. There were also system glitches where company information wasn't accessible, but then it would appear later. Despite having two Master's degrees and teaching at the college level, I wasn't deemed qualified for customer service queries, which was disappointing. I'm also puzzled why they're hiring if, according to comments, there aren't enough tickets to generate sufficient income for the job to be worthwhile. It's a cool concept, though, and I'm genuinely bummed it didn't work out for me.

So first, there was this assessment thingy and after that, I had to do like 10 practice questions. The system was kinda glitchy, not gonna lie, I had the same issue as someone else where I found company info after answering a question that wasn't there before. It's funny because they care about spelling and grammar, but their own assessments had a bunch of mistakes, which was a bit of a red flag. Anyway, I sent in my stuff and got an email saying it all looked good, they were just gonna look over it again and I'd hear back in 7-10 days. Fast forward over a month, and I get a rejection email. When I first heard about this job, it sounded like a cool little side gig to do while I'm home with my kids. With my background in customer service management, I really thought it would be a slam dunk. But, I didn't realize it's a super new company, and it felt like it was run by tech people, not customer service people, during the application. They take forever to get back to you, way longer than their promised 7-10 days. I had already taken another job, so I kind of forgot about it. Then, out of nowhere, maybe like 2 months later, I got that rejection email. I was pretty surprised since I'm now a Quality Assurance manager. I usually don't leave bad reviews, but I think they might pass over good, qualified people because their whole model of no resume, no experience, no interview, and no training seems weird. What's even weirder and unprofessional is that they make the whole decision based on those 10 test questions, but they don't give you any feedback. All the other assessments I've done give you feedback so you know how you did. I just wanted to give people a heads up so they aren't surprised or feel bad if they get rejected, 'cause I've seen and heard that most people do. I should've checked reviews before applying because after reading about the pay and not getting paid for work on tickets that needed escalating, I definitely wouldn't have bothered applying.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Instead of interviews, resumes, experience checks, and training, they base hiring solely on 10 questions, yet offer no feedback.
  • I've applied for other roles where you actually receive the results, so you know precisely how you performed.
  • I felt confident I did well, but without any feedback, I find the process questionable.

The hiring process is entirely via email. First, you'll need to read their Expert Success Guide and then complete a test on it. After that, you'll tackle 10 sample tickets designed to check your understanding of the Expert Success Guide, your grammar, customer service abilities, problem-solving skills, and search capabilities. If you successfully complete all these steps, you'll be put on a waiting list. They'll reach out when a position opens up. I was on the waiting list for 2 months before getting an offer. Once they offer you a job, the rest is fast: sign some paperwork and they do a background check.
