First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SimpliVity.
Solutions Architect
So the interview process was a four-part thing. First up was a phone interview with the regional manager. Then came an in-person meeting with the regional manager, which was actually over lunch, and we chatted about a bunch of stuff. After that, there was a phone interview with someone who might be a peer, and the final interview was with the local sales team. The phone and in-person chats were okay, but during the lunch interview, the regional manager, without asking any technical stuff, said he was worried about my technical skills. So he set up a technical interview with a potential peer. But it wasn't really technical at all – it was an hour long with maybe 3 technical questions, and I even had to correct the current solutions architect on some storage latency details. After that, communication just stopped, so I took another job. A few weeks later, the regional manager emailed saying they picked someone else but wanted to offer me a different role. I politely declined but said I was open to staying in touch. Then, more silence. The whole process would have been fine if they hadn't been so bad with communication.

Program Manager
After applying on the website, I was quickly contacted and invited for a series of interviews. The recruiting team was great and made scheduling really easy, being super flexible and responsive. They gave me a list of everyone I'd be meeting and for how long. I met with the Department head, Hiring manager, Recruiting Manager, three other Department leaders, and also the CEO's personal Program Management Consultant. I had exactly 30 minutes with each person, and they all discussed different parts of the team, the job, and how my experience fits the role.

Senior Software Engineer
So first there were 2 Phone rounds, one was with the hiring manager, it was around 45 minutes. Then another phone round with 2 engineers, that one was 1 hour 30 minutes. These phone rounds were mostly Operating Systems, Storage and C++ questions. After that, the onsite interview. That had 7 rounds in total. 4 of those were technical rounds, each lasting 1 hour. Then there was 1 HR round and 2 hiring manager rounds. The HR and hiring manager rounds were mostly behavioral questions.

Marketing Associate
The whole thing took about two weeks, which felt pretty quick. I had two days where I met with seven people from the department. I had to write a blog post and do a copy-editing test. Everyone had a different interview approach, so I had to switch up how I talked to them, which was kind of cool. A lot of what they asked was about the company and what I knew; if I hadn't looked into it beforehand, I would have been in trouble.
