& Process

So first I had a call, then I talked to the manager and HR, and then we had another chat with the manager and the Team Leads to see how we'd vibe. I got the offer about a week later.

After an initial chat with the Director of Engineering, I went on to interview with a few different teams. The interviewers seemed genuinely interested in assessing my current skills, but they also placed a strong emphasis on my future potential, which felt different from other software company interviews. I'd say the evaluation was a balanced mix of current abilities and future promise.

I was contacted very quickly for an interview and was excited. I spoke with the recruiter over the phone and he was very excited about my credentials. He told me he'd schedule a follow up in-person interview in person sometime the following week. I let him know I had other job offers but was interested in his company. Nothing. Radio silence. After a few days, I emailed him since I figured I was a good candidate. No email. I gave him a call. Once went straight to voicemail, another time he picked up and then hung up on me before I could say anything (he must have checked his caller ID). Even after I accepted another job offer and let them know, they refused to email or call me back. This was after a half-dozen contact attempts. I can see the job is still open, so I imagine this is an ongoing problem.

It was a 3-part interview process, all done in one day which was a bit unusual. First, a phone interview, then a group interview with the manager and Team Leads, and finally, an interview with team members to see how I'd fit in with the group. I got the job offer right after the interviews.
