First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Simpli.fi.
Head of Brand and Agency Partnerships
I had an initial 30-minute interview with a recruiter. The rest of the process would have been four or five rounds. The interviewer had her camera off and was all business. She asked several questions about my background and some behavioral questions. It took a week to hear back that they were not moving me forward.
- Can you tell me about your background?
Software Engineer
The interview process went well and was a positive experience overall. The questions were direct and relevant to the skills needed, making the evaluation straightforward. The interviewers were nice and approachable, which made me feel comfortable to show my skills and experience.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you explain what hoisting is?
Sales Director
An external recruiter contacted me about a sales position. I took the call. The recruiter revealed the company was Simpli.Fi, my direct competitor. She started by asking about my company's products and my sales territories, which felt a bit aggressive. Then she inquired about the agencies I work with. I didn't want to share this information because of the competitive nature of our roles. When I declined to answer, she became upset and insisted I provide the information, citing industry norms. I refused again, and the call ended. This interaction was off-putting; I would never disclose my client list to a competitor due to the risk of them poaching my business. This recruiter's approach doesn't reflect well on Simpli.Fi.
- Can you describe your current role?
Desktop Support Specialist
Had a good phone screen with the recruiter, and they quickly set up an in-person interview with the director of facilities. The in-person part felt like a casual "get to know you" chat, focused on whether I'd fit the company culture. It was about 50 minutes long, and they said a decision would be made within two weeks. I didn't get the job, as they seem to be looking again. It was a good experience overall, but the lack of communication about the outcome was disappointing. A simple email would have been appreciated instead of being ghosted.
- Could you discuss your past experience and its relevance to this role?
