The recruiter/HR was super confident in what she didn't know. I tried asking basic questions about what they expect and what the next steps are, but she insisted that they don't do any object-oriented programming and only use C++. I should have corrected her, but she was so sure that I just let it slide. Lol, I got nothing else to say.

I connected with the company at a school career fair and they seemed really great. After that, I was scheduled for an on-campus interview. It involved some basic technical questions, covering topics like Object Oriented Design and C++.

The hiring process was really smooth with the HR team being super responsive. It started with a chat with HR, followed by a technical phone interview with an experienced engineer. Then, there were two onsite rounds, each involving two interviewers, one of whom was the CTO. A unique aspect was their lack of code reviews, which they seem to make work for them. The office environment is nice and pleasant. All the technical questions felt fair. Be prepared to use a whiteboard and clearly explain your thinking. Unfortunately, I didn't get the offer as they chose another candidate, but I would be open to interviewing again because the people were great and I felt a good cultural alignment.
