I first applied online and sent in a writing sample about why I want to work there. Then I got a call for a Zoom interview about a month after applying. The interviewer cancelled and rescheduled three times before we finally connected. The next step was to submit another writing sample, which took about an hour. I had to sell a product to a customer and create an email pitch. After that, I had another interview with the team and the manager. Then, ANOTHER interview with HR again. HR cancelled and rescheduled numerous times, once an hour before the interview. They then asked for my references' emails. All referrals had to be done via Zoom, and they all needed to be supervisors from a former position (no co-workers or clients). Two weeks later, I'm still waiting to hear back. So much time had passed from the initial application that I found another position.

First, you'll have an initial chat with a recruiter where you can pick a time that works for you via their Calendly. If you make it past that, you'll get an email to do a test using a special SimpleTexting account they'll give you. After about 5 business days, they'll let you know if you can move on to the final interview with the hiring manager.

So I applied online and did this really long questionnaire with some CS tasks. After I sent it in, I heard nothing for a whole year. Seriously. They finally contacted me after a year to see if I was still interested. I set up a meeting and had an interview with the HR person. After that, they gave me a task to do, which I finished and sent back. Then, I was ghosted again for another 3 months! Unbelievable! After 3 months, HR got back to me, apologized, and asked if I was up for a second interview. They said it would be a deep dive into my past experience, which was basically what the first interview was about. So I scheduled another time. The second interview was pretty much identical to the first one – same questions about my work history, my relationships with bosses, etc. I was getting frustrated but decided to stick with it. Within 24 hours, they asked for contact details for my ex-bosses and colleagues I'd mentioned, about 8 people in total. I sent those over the next day. Over the next 2-3 days, she contacted most of them but completely ghosted 2 others. I even had my contacts send reminders, but she never replied. She finally finished those calls a week later. Then, remember that task I was given over a year ago? They wanted me to do it again! I know, I know, you're wondering why I continued. I just wanted to see the end of this whole process. I sent 3 reminders asking for access to the free account to do the task, but got no response. I ended up just trying to log in until I could. I finished the task. And within 24 hours... I got a rejection email. They said I didn't have enough experience... I have 5 years of experience! Their company reviews are good, but they really need to fix their hiring process.

I sent in my application online in June 2018. Within a few days, I got an email to schedule a screening interview. It was a really thorough interview, but it didn't feel like they were trying to trick me. It seemed more like they wanted to understand my strengths and weaknesses so that if I got the job, they could really lean into what I'm good at and help me out with the areas I need to develop.
