First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at simpleshow.
Customer Success Manager
It was a 4-round process. First, HR, for introductions, vibe check, and culture fit - a relaxed chat without high expectations. Then, meeting the Team Lead for questions, discussion, talking about previous tasks, and getting to know each other on a personal level. After that, a case study with a presentation, involving the Team Lead and either a Senior or the VP of CS, and a short role-play. Finally, an optional chat with colleagues.
- How do you handle disappointed customers?
Business Development Representative
The hiring process involved lengthy assessments. I completed a written assessment that took about 2 hours, and then a cold-call role play for the third interview. I successfully met all requirements, but was ultimately rejected with a generic email. After asking for feedback, I was ghosted.
- Can you share an instance where you successfully altered the outcome of a difficult situation?
Sales Account Manager
I began my interview journey with Simpleshow in October 2019. It kicked off with two phone calls, followed by two more video interviews where I met four different people. In early November, they invited me to their Miami office. After a short wait, I had a lengthy interview, over two hours long, with three sales managers simultaneously. I then flew back home. The next step was an expected offer via email from HR the following week. They did contact me for references, and spoke with all three. I followed up every two weeks for about six weeks. HR kept saying they were still deciding, citing holiday travel, but assured me they were still very interested and would get back to me soon. In January, surprisingly, I had another video interview with a fifth person, another sales manager. When I asked about next steps after this interview, they admitted they had no idea why I was being interviewed and were just asked to do it. I followed up again with the original interviewers a few more times but never received a response. It was quite a shock to go through six interviews over four months and not get a decision.
- Can you describe your closing ability and provide an example?
Sales Executive
The people I interacted with were really nice. The whole process to get things finalized took quite a while. I felt like I was constantly having to follow up to find out how things were going with the interviews, only to discover I had to start the whole thing over again! I do appreciate that the company wanted to take their time to make sure they found the right person. However, the recruitment process itself could have been explained more clearly from the start.
- Prepare a sales pitch.
- How do you feel about targets? Are you very target driven?
