First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SILVUS TECHNOLOGIES.
Accountant
I applied online and had a really good overall experience. I first spoke with the recruiter, then had a Zoom interview with the accounting lead. After that, I came in for three rounds of in-person interviews. The accounting lead even came out to introduce herself in person and made sure I had water. The only stressful part was the technical questions during the in-person rounds, everything else felt pretty relaxed and conversational.
- Can you share an instance where you identified a mistake in financial records and what steps you took to rectify it?
Offensive Security Engineer
What a long arduous process. They are quick when interested, but slow after the fact. This was a painstaking 6 step process that required a drive up to their LA office. You will be quizzed on the basic terminology of offensive security hinting at their immature security program, but scoffed and laughed at if you are not a software engineer. Their job description is far from what they are actually looking for. It screams junior offensive security, but their requirements are actually kernel reverse engineer and exploit developer. Good luck!

Digital Marketing Manager
The hiring process felt really disorganized and disrespectful of my time from the start. There were long delays, like weeks, between simple screening steps, which set the stage for how inefficient everything was. After the first couple of interviews, I waited for months, with them being super slow. Every few weeks, HR would send a generic email saying they hadn't decided on the next round. After 13 weeks, I was told they were finishing up second-round interviews, and then I was suddenly rejected. They claimed they wanted someone with 'more experience,' which was ridiculous considering I have over 11 years in the field. Even if that were true, it doesn't excuse the terrible timing and unclear process. It's obvious this company doesn't value candidates' time or have a clue how to run a professional, transparent hiring process. Keeping someone waiting for over three months without even getting halfway through the process is insane, especially for a role like Digital Marketing Manager. They really need to sort things out and act professionally. People need jobs now, not in 4-5 months. No one should have their life on hold for half a year because a company can't hire efficiently. I wouldn't wish this mess on anyone. Avoid this employer if you don't want your time wasted. Lots of red flags here that suggest their internal operations are just as messy.
- Can you walk me through a campaign you initiated, detailing its organization and execution?
Senior Recruiter
I interviewed for this role through a third party, and the person I spoke with mentioned that the hired candidate for lead recruiting operations would report to them. This interviewer hadn't prepared any questions, despite confirming the interview only about 8 hours prior, which was quite noticeable. They wanted someone with more recruiting knowledge themselves, which is understandable, but they were poorly equipped to assess talent. When I asked what metrics would be used to measure effectiveness, they hadn't considered it. They also couldn't say how many roles the person would handle at once or how the team might grow. Near the end, the interviewer unsolicitedly used the standard line, "we are interviewing multiple people and after this round we will get back to those who are a fit," even though I hadn't asked about next steps. I received a rejection saying my experience didn't align, even though the hiring manager didn't ask any behavioral questions relevant to the role. The hiring manager also viewed my LinkedIn profile after the interview, so I wouldn't be surprised if gender or ethnic biases played a role in the rejection decision.
- How do you assess the success of a recruiting operation?
