It was business casual, but don't let the smile and hospitality fool you, the questions are serious. Do your research about the role and company. Forget the 'tell me about yourself' stuff – here they ask real, job-ready questions. They're not taking chances, so don't fake your experience, as they might ask you to explain or simulate a 5-7 star course table setup.

They do one interview but it's intense, especially if you don't have experience. They'll ask about your knowledge of food and beverage products and service standards. If you pass the interview, the hiring process is slow. They'll send an email explaining your position, joining date, and salary, but it's not an offer letter. Then you need to do a medical check, submit it, and wait 2 weeks for approval. In short, don't quit your job because the process is long and slow before you are hired.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • If you are serving a round table, where do you begin?
  • Can you explain what champagne is and the reason behind its name?
  • Name at least three main dishes served at your restaurant, and then describe how each is prepared.

I applied online and got a call back for a phone interview. After that, they sent me a design test, which I completed. Then they invited me for a second interview at their office in Brickell. After that, they just ghosted me. Never heard anything back, not even to say I didn't get the job, despite multiple follow-up emails and calls. Very unprofessional.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Can you discuss your past work experience?
  • What makes you want to work for Silverseas?
  • Why do you feel you're a strong fit for this role?
