Technical Presentation Case

It was a really thorough and involved process. I had a bunch of interviews, both over the phone and then in person at their NYC office. Early on, they also had me do a practical exercise where I had to implement a Salesforce solution. I essentially had a fake client meeting, figured out what they needed, set up Salesforce accordingly, and then had to show them what I built.

It kicked off with a recruiter call and a preliminary chat. Then I spoke with the COO and another director in Services. After that, I had a multi-stage sample case study test and presentation where I had to show my skills as a solution architect. This involved reviewing materials, doing a small discovery session, setting up a solution in a dev org, and then demoing it. It was fun and a good way to understand expectations and for them to learn about me. Following the demo, we scheduled in-person interviews at the NY office. I met with 5-6 people there, including delivery directors, solution and technical architects, and service folks. I was really impressed with everyone; they were bright, enthusiastic, and happy. The process was thorough and gave us all enough time and info to be confident in the hiring decision.

Everyone was great to speak with and very professional. There was definitely a healthy amount of scrutiny with regards to my background and experience. Also, they provided an exam which turned out to be really fun. Overall process was quick and VERY efficient. there was no waiting around or being in limbo.
