Silverline Business Analyst Interview Questions
& Process

I was contacted by a recruiter on Linkedin about a Solutions Architect role. We had a short 15-min call and she set up a second screening with her manager. Her boss asked some strange questions, like why I chose my university and about my GPA, even though I have 3 years of Salesforce and 3 years of other work experience. She also asked why I wanted to work for Silverline and if I was a good fit. I explained my Salesforce consulting experience and mentioned I looked up the company after she reached out. She then scheduled an interview with Scott Snider, the COO. Scott was supposed to call at 2:30 PM but was late, emailing me to say he'd call in 5 minutes. He finally called around 2:50 PM, sounding out of breath and like he was walking in NYC. He repeatedly asked what made me a good candidate and why I thought I was a fit. I felt like I was repeating myself. I mentioned I had other offers, and he said it would take a few weeks to get someone in for interviews, so my timing might not work. He said he'd be in touch if anything changed, but I never heard back. I was pretty turned off by the experience anyway, and I'm glad I accepted an offer with Accenture, who is a better Salesforce partner.

It was a pretty thorough, multi-stage process. First, I had phone interviews with the company recruiter and then two managers of teams that would involve this role. After that, there was a technical challenge where I had to follow a script to build a sample solution and then present it to a supervisor. Then, I went for an on-site interview and met with four people from different levels at the company. In total, I met ten people throughout the whole process, both virtually and in person.

This was a super thorough and intense interview process, and it's totally worth the effort if you really want the job. The Silverline HR team was great with communication from the start, so I always knew where I stood, and things moved fast. I had three phone interviews: one with the recruiter, one with my potential boss, and then their supervisor. After that, I was invited to a Super Day at their NYC office. They covered my flight and hotel, though there were some hotel issues that they sorted out and reimbursed me for. The Super Day involved breakfast, two more interviews, lunch with past academy students, a Salesforce presentation, a project case study, and a writing sample. You definitely have to put in the work to prepare, but it pays off. I got the job offer the very next day. Everyone was really friendly the whole time.
