First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Silverado.
Executive Director
I had to travel to the Corporate Office in Orange County to meet with leaders from clinical and financing departments, as well as the CEO. The CEO meeting was the final part of the interview session, where they asked about my experience and specifically about my financial knowledge.
- How would you manage a visit from investors?
Receptionist
After an initial phone call, the interview involved discussing my past jobs and experience. They specifically asked about my Excel skills and how I'd handle residents coming to the front desk. It was pretty straightforward.
- Have you worked as a receptionist before?
- Are you experienced with Excel?
- How would you manage residents who come to the front area?
Licensed Vocational Nurse
I went in with my resume and they called me later that day. The interview was 2 days after that. Before the interview, I had to take a test about honesty, which was pretty much 100 variations of two questions: 'do you ever feel the need to hit someone' and 'have you ever stolen money from a job.' After passing that, I got to interview. The whole thing was quick and since I'm a new grad, some of the critical thinking questions were tough. She offered me the job and then had me walk around and chat with some nurses to ask them questions. It was a very professional process.
- Can you explain what atrial fibrillation is?
- What medications are used to treat atrial fibrillation?
- What are the clinical signs and symptoms associated with atrial fibrillation?
Business Office Manager
I sent in my resume and cover letter through Indeed and got a call back from a recruiter within a week. We set up a phone interview for the very next day. After that, I had to complete two online surveys, then another phone interview, and then a Skype chat with the Recruiter. Following that, I had a phone interview with two VPs from the Home Office. Then, about a week later, I had an in-person meeting with the Executive Director.
- Can you share an instance where a manager provided you with feedback to enhance your performance, and how you reacted to it?
- Could you describe your closet?
