Property and Project Manager
Property Manager interview - initial interview was 15 minutes, tests took 30 minutes, then a second interview that was an hour of the same questions over and over. The third interview started at 15 minutes, and they said I wasn't a good fit due to lack of experience. This is confusing because you reviewed my resume and the other two interviewers thought I was a good fit, so why waste my time if you already knew I wasn't the candidate you wanted? Then, a second round for Project Management... the interview was almost 2 hours of the same repetitive questions from the first round. Outcome - they selected two other candidates with more experience. I have 15 years in the industry, what more do you want? AGAIN, you can see that from my resume, so why ask another 2 hours of basic questions??? Such a waste of my time.
- Were there any basic questions asked that were not job specific?
Acquisitions Manager
The interviews were long and drawn out over a month and I was basically given the same HR information over the course of 4 interviews. 3 interviews were with the HR team, which went fine, but the 4th interview was with the COO who was a glorified and ex - HR Manager. The COO was self-absorbed, said nothing meaningful and didn't even know the formal definition of commercial real estate. I could barely get a word in edgewise as she obviously loved to listen to her own voice. She was argumentative, recalcitrant and a bit snotty, accusing me of being difficult because I wanted to clarify the types of acquisitions that I had participated in. She was hung up on the idea that since my experience wasn't exclusively office buildings or industrial that perhaps my qualifications weren't strong enough. At the end of the interview, the COO informed me that they were going to cast a wider net for the position. Since they knew my time frame to wrap up interviews at the onset of this process, I felt that my time was completely wasted and they showed a complete lack of concern for my scheduling needs. At the end of the interview, I informed the COO that I was no longer interested in the position. If that's the type of people they hire, I certainly wouldn't fit in!!

Property Manager
I was initially impressed that the company was based on a Christian foundation. So, I spent hours, while in labor at the hospital with my 4th child, taking the extensive assessments tests. When I got home from the hospital, I got an email, notifying me that the position had been filled. The next morning, I noticed the same position being advertised as "new" on Monster.com.

Analyst
The recruiting process is very good. First, there was an online assessment test that was very insightful and detailed. Then, I had a 1:1 interview with the HR recruiter Christal Jackson after the phone interview. It was very professional, and she explained the company background and core values. She did a great job guiding me through the process.

- Could you tell me a little about yourself?
